1. Who we are

The Sale Ring is an online marketplace operated by Oxburn Stables, Ackworth. We provide the platform on which members list, bid on and buy horses, ponies, tack and equipment. We are not a party to any sale.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or over. Keep your login details private; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person or business.

3. Bidding and buying

A bid is a commitment to buy at that price if you win and the reserve is met. Bids cannot normally be withdrawn. When an auction closes or a Buy Now or offer is accepted, buyer and seller receive each other's contact details and complete the sale between themselves. Three unpaid purchases will suspend bidding on your account.

4. Horses and ponies

Horses are sold subject to the buyer's own vetting unless the listing says otherwise. Buyers should view and vet before paying. Sellers must be the registered keeper or have authority to sell and must supply the passport on sale.

5. Content and conduct

Listings must be accurate and yours to sell. Do not share contact details before a sale, harass other members, or list anything unlawful. We may remove listings or accounts that break these terms.

6. Liability

We provide the platform with reasonable care but do not guarantee any listing, member, or sale. Our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the current version always applies and you will be asked to accept material changes.
