Seller terms
Draft for review by your solicitor before launch.
1. Fees
You pay a listing fee per item when your listing goes live, plus VAT, as shown on the Fees page. We take no commission on the sale. Fees are not refundable once live.
2. Your listing
Every listing is checked before it goes live, usually within a few hours. Describe the item honestly, use your own photographs, and state anything a buyer would want to know. Horse listings must include the passport number, which we keep private.
3. Auctions
You may set a reserve, and lower it during the sale, but not raise it. Once a bid is placed you cannot end the auction early or edit the listing. If the reserve is met at close you must sell to the winning bidder.
4. Fixed price and offers
You choose whether to accept offers. Answer offers within 48 hours. An accepted offer or a Buy Now purchase is a commitment to sell at that price.
5. Completing the sale
Contact details are shared when a sale completes. Payment, vetting, transport and collection are arranged between you and the buyer.
6. Business sellers
If you sell in the course of a business, say so on your account. Consumer law, including the 14-day cancellation right on distance sales of goods, may apply to your fixed price sales.
